Chapter Philanthropy and Service

In the 2022-2023 academic year, Gamma Chi raised over $27,000 for St. Jude through these events, helping the national organization of Tri Delta reach its goal of raising $60 million in 10 years in only 8 years. In recognition of our contribution, we were awarded 2023 Chapter of the Year in the Blue Category at the annual Tri Delta/St. Jude Convention in Memphis, Tennessee. This continued our tradition of being a top fundraising chapter. 

Our chapter has also been recognized for our achievements by the University of Denver. In 2023 Tri Delta was awarded Top Philanthropy Initiative of the Year. We hope to continue to flourish as a chapter in the coming years and are eager to see what the future holds in store for Gamma Chi. 

 

SINCERELY YOURS

Sincerely Yours is a letter writing campaign in which we write letters to family and friends, asking for donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Each member brings a list of 50+ addresses, personalizes a letter to each recipient, and then puts all of these letters in hand-addressed envelopes. This event accounts for 75% of the money we raise and is one we always look forward to.

 

DELTA HOUSE OF PANCAKES

DHOP satisfies the late night cravings of fellow DU students and other Greek members while raising money for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. From 8 pm to 3am, we serve unlimited pancakes, bacon, and orange juice; and there's always a line out the door! Thanks to the generous donations of alumnae, parents, and Denver businesses, all of the proceeds go directly to St. Jude. We log countless hours of preparation and act as the chefs, servers, and cleaning crew for the event. In 2023 we raised a total of $6,952!

 

 

Deltas and Dogs

Each year, we invite a local animal rescue organization onto Campus Green to showcase their animals and raise money for St. Jude. Typically we have hotdogs, music, and yard games. It is always so much fun to get some puppy love while raising money!
