Chapter History

The Gamma Chi Chapter of Delta Delta Delta was founded at the University of Denver in 2000. Over the past 23 years, our chapter has grown tremendously. We are committed to the academic development of our members and are constantly providing them with innovative opportunities and experiences. It is also the hope of Tri Delta to encourage life-long philanthropic efforts. In 2001, we began fundraising for St. Jude with one annual philanthropy event – Cancer Strikeout. Now, we host several different philanthropic events per year, including Sincerely Yours – a letter writing campaign – Delta House of Pancakes (DHOP), and Deltas and Dogs. Additionally, members are involved with various community service organizations in and around the Denver area.

In the 2022-2023 academic year, Gamma Chi raised over $27,000 for St. Jude through these events, helping the national organization of Tri Delta reach its goal of raising $60 million in 10 years in only 8 years. In recognition of our contribution, we were awarded 2023 Chapter of the Year in the Blue Category at the annual Tri Delta/St. Jude Convention in Memphis, Tennessee. This continued our tradition of being a top fundraising chapter.

Our chapter has also been recognized for our achievements by the University of Denver. In 2023 Tri Delta was awarded Top Philanthropy Initiative of the Year. We hope to continue to flourish as a chapter in the coming years and are eager to see what the future holds in store for Gamma Chi.
